Default GCOOS Vocabulary

The term pH was added to the GCOOS Vocabulary (http://gcoos.rsmas.miami.edu/dp/gcoos_vocabulary.php). The definition reads:

Measure of the acidity or alkalinity of seawater defined as the cologarithm (base 10) of the activity of dissolved hydrogen ions (H+); the minRange is 0.0, maxRange is 14.0 and the unit is pH.

If you think this should be modified, please email Nonong (f.gayanilo@miami.edu) a note and post your comments here. While on the topic, when members have the time, please review the inputs to this list.

Thanks,
Nonong
