  • Gulf of Mexico Ecosystem Science Assessment and Needs (pdf) – Report of the findings of the Gulf Coast Ecosystem Restoration Task Force, which was a precursor to the Gulf Coast Ecosystem Restoration Council per the RESTORE Act of 2012.
  • Gulf of Mexico Regional Restoration Strategy (pdf) – The goal of this Strategy, by the Gulf Coast Ecosystem Restoration Task Force, is to drive action and guide the long-term collaboration that will be necessary to effectively address and reverse widespread environmental degradation and to ensure a healthy environment and economic future for the Gulf.
  • Gulf of Mexico Alliance Action Plan II – This Action Plan II sets a course for actions for the Gulf of Mexico Alliance, designed to improve the health of coastal ecosystems and economies of the Gulf in ways that a single entity could not achieve.
  • Sea Grant Gulf of Mexico Research Plan – This plan includes research priorities for the Gulf of Mexico identified by 1,500 people from 260 universities, government agencies, businesses, NGOs, and other organizations.
  • NOAA Gulf of Mexico Data Atlas – The NOAA Gulf of Mexico Data Atlas provides answers to questions related to the physical environment, marine resources, and economic activity in the Gulf of Mexico. Information is presented in the form of map plates with descriptions, written by recognized subject matter experts, explaining how the data were gathered and how they are relevant. The Gulf of Mexico Data Atlas has data from federal, state, non-governmental agencies, and academia.
  • IPIECA Marine Geospatial Bibliography – IPIECA is the global oil and gas industry association for environmental and social issues. The Marine Geospatial Bibliography is a free online tool developed by IPIECA to centralise reports, papers and environmental research on oil and gas activities in marine environments. Users can select specific resources in the Gulf of Mexico region.
