Radio series brings ocean-science news to Brazos Valley listeners.

The new ‘On the Ocean’ radio series, conceived and created by the Department of Oceanography, debuted at 8:30 a.m., Tuesday, 18 August during NPR’s Morning Edition program. The new program  shares current ocean-science information with KAMU listeners by translating cutting-edge Texas A&M research into public knowledge and interest. Each weekly, two-minute segment will highlight topical and regionally relevant information about the state of the oceans from data collected by Texas A&M students and faculty. The general content will be delivered as weekly installments bundled into a monthly series, with general topics changing every month. Mckensie Daugherty, Oceanography graduate student, hosts On the Ocean. For more on the show, please visit http://abcmgr.tamu.edu/ontheocean
